The morning are warmer so I am back to riding before work.

It is nice to have it done but I miss the sun and the cows.

On Wednesday, I took the afternoon off to get a hair cut.

The weather continues to get warmer and it may be time to switch my typical errand rides on Saturday.

I have been going to Aldi, then Target then Publix. But Aldi doesn’t open until 9 which means ai get done about 11:30. I was sweating this weekend and it will only be getting warmer.

Andy and I rode to Wiregrass. We went to Barnes & Noble then had pizza. Andy rode home and I went to Publix and McDonald’s.

February 16-22

The mornings are getting a bit warmer except for Tuesday. Not much to comment on when I ride in the morning. It was foggy on Friday but not too dense. Well, except for drivers who think they should turn on their high beams in fog.

I did errands on Saturday.

I rode in the afternoon on Sunday. A cold front is moving in and was very windy. I love having my e-bike so I can push through those headwinds.

February 9-15

The cold lingered through Wednesday but then it was foggy in the morning.

We had plans to go to the chiropractor on Friday so I rode in the morning with the fog. I rode mostly on the SR56 MUP. I figured it would be safer than distracted drivers. There were two barriers that I could see because of my headlight. There were no warning signs beforehand.

I did grocery shopping on Saturday.

I did a longer ride on Sunday. It was windy AF and after 22 miles, my battery was at 19%.

February 2-8

The cold lasted all week. It wasn’t took cold on Thursday but rained in the morning. I rode at lunch.

I did my errands on Saturday then did a second ride in the afternoon for my last birthday month treat at Chick-Fil-A.

Andy and I rode our bikes to Barnes & Noble then Pizza Mania for lunch. Andy rode home while I got more juice and then fries.

January 26-February 2

Monday was windy but I did my ride in the morning. I ran over a suicidal opossum on the SR56 MUP. He must have survived because he wasn’t there on my second lap.

Very cold weather came in Monday afternoon.

Tuesday was so cold I could only muster an 11 mile loop. The northern wind made my face hurt.

On Wednesday, I managed 14 miles and finally back to 17 miles on Thursday.

Friday. I was doing my step ups and something popped in my knee. Meniscus, cartilage, ligament? I don’t know. It hurt but I could manage to walk slowly. I had scheduled a half day off with plans to ride longer. I started out with a short ride to Aldi. Riding was fine. Stopping and started wasn’t fun. Later, I met friends at Ford’s Garage. I think the riding helped some getting the blood to circulate and start the healing.

I did errands on Saturday to Target and Publix. It was the last day of the month and I was 7 miles short of 500 miles. The temperature kept dropping and wind kept getting stronger so I stopped at 493 miles.

Sunday was bitter cold for Florida. At 2:00 pm, it was only 46° but felt like 36° I really didn’t want to ride. But I am not going to give up my streak. I bundled up and was surprised that I didn’t feel too cold. My jacket kept me warm enough and my hands even got a little sweaty in my heavy gloves. I rode to Sprouts and McDonald’s.

January 19-25

It was cold in the beginning of the week so I rode at lunch time Monday - Thursday.

I did ride in the morning on Friday.

I did my grocery shopping on Saturday.

My car wouldn’t start so I rode my bike to get pizza and fries for the boys. It was only 8 miles but I decided it was enough because it was really windy.

January 12-18

Not a very good week for mileage.

On Monday, my front tire finally gave up. It was the original tire and tube on the bike. It last just over 14,000 miles.

whiule i was at the bike shop, randy gave me my medal for riding over 3,00 miles in 2025. the app became available in march so i missed 5,000 miles in the app.

I managed to get a new tire on, with much difficulty. But when I went to ride after work, I realized it was not seated correctly. I continued to the bike shop where Randy worked on it for over 20 minutes and got it 95% there. He over inflated the tire to 70 psi when I normally run at 40 though the tire can take up to 65 psi. I didn’t notice any wobbled as I rode home.

I got a normal morning ride on Wednesday.

It was raining on Thursday morning so I rode at lunch.

It was very cold on Friday and I had planned on going to chiropractor at lunch. I did a short ride so Ryan would have to wait and then he decided it was too cold for him to leave the house. (It was 50° by then but he hates to wear pants.)

Saturday was errands.

On Sunday, I rode before lunch because the weather was going to take a turn. I did some errands and also got a #BirthdayMonth treat at Einstein Bagels. I got a free breakfast sandwich which I ate on the bench outside of Sprouts.

January 5-11

Though the morning were not very cold, they were foggy. I opted to ride at lunch Monday through Thursday.

I did some intervals on Friday.

I did my usual errands on Saturday.

Sunday was haircut day which means pizza with Andy. He opted to ride bike to Wiregrass. He hasn’t ridden in 11 months and is out of shape. We had to stop several times for him to rest. I rode my e-bike with the motor off. It is heavy and not easy to ride so slow.

We went to 900º Wood Fire Pizza because it had started to rain. I was hoping it might stop by the time we were finished but it did not. I gave Andy my rain cape and he rode home. I continued to Publix for groceries. And since it was my birthday, I stopped at Starbucks for a Frappuccino. I got fries at McDonald’s for the boys and made it home about 10 minutes before Andy did. The rain cape helped but he got wet. And he never complained.

December 29-January 04

I saw that I was close to 6,000 miles for the years so I had to go for it. I had Tuesday afternoon off for an appointment that had been canceled. I rode down to Oliver’s to use my gift card then around Tampa Palms. I had plans to ride farther but the wind was draining my battery.

I finished December with 544 miles and 2025 with 6,002 miles

I had a decent ride on New Year’s Day of 21 miles.

I rode errands on Saturday and Sunday.
