ligustrum sinense
/
This is last remaining variegated ligustrum I have. There were several planted in front of my house. I don't understand is why they would plant something meant to grow 6' in front of low windows. Then again, they probably didn't think and just got some plants to fill in and who cares once the house is sold if the new owner has to prune this hedge every few weeks?
When I moved to Florida from Michigan, the plant life was SO different. I got some books and learned about xeriscaping. I learned that these cute little shrubs would grow and block my windows unless I pruned them regularly. Love to plant, not so good on maintenance. I moved the plants. Moved some again. This is the only one I left. It blocks the hose reel from the street.
